Epiduo® Gel is indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris in patients 12 years and older. Those who are new to acne treatment, or who are not satisfied with their current treatment routine, may benefit from using Epiduo® Gel.
Epiduo® Gel was designed to treat people affected by acne—people with a few whiteheads and blackheads or people with lots of zits and red bumps. Whether you are just beginning to fight acne or are seeking a new treatment option for an old acne problem, ask your doctor if Epiduo® Gel is right for you.
You’re One of a Kind …
… and so is Epiduo® Gel. It combines two powerful acne-fighting ingredients, adapalene and benzoyl peroxide, that together helps:
- Work on existing acne
- Prevent new acne from forming by working to clear clogged pores
- Reduce inflammation associated with acne
- Reduce acne-causing bacteria
If you and your doctor decide that Epiduo® Gel is the right choice for you, you should know that:
- The safety and effectiveness of Epiduo® Gel were studied for 12 months in people 12 years of age and older and had moderate acne. The study results showed that Epiduo® Gel is safe and effective for long-term acne treatment.
- In clinical studies, most irritation reported was resolved early in treatment. Typical side effects associated with short-term and long-term use of Epiduo® Gel are redness, scaling, dryness, stinging and burning where applied. You might also experience contact dermatitis (a rash) or other skin irritation. You should also avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and sunlamps during treatment, and use of sunscreen products and protective clothing.
Whatever you do, don’t lose confidence that your acne can be treated successfully. Even mild acne can be troubling, but speaking with a doctor and getting a prescription for Epiduo® Gel may be able to help.
